چکیده

Objective: Epicardial adipose tissue is the visceral fat located between myocardium and pericardium. Increases in epicardial are closely associated with occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. The systemic immune inflammation index a new parameter developed to determine inflammatory status patients. In our study, we aimed evaluate relationship immun patients diabetes mellitus. Method: 119 T2DM 50 volunteers were included study. SII was obtained formulatıon neutrophil/lymphocyte x platelet. by transthoracic echocardiography. evaluated Diabetes Mellitus Results: ıt shown that higher diabetic There significant correlation Body surface area , duration mellitus, HbA1c, index, mean platelet volume neutrophil lymphocyte ratio tissue. linear regression analysis, it observed mellitus (β =0.049 (0.011-0.087); P=0.011) (β=0.013 (0.001-0.018) P=0.008) independent predictors EAT. Conclusions: there may provide useful estimate tissue, which has been be events.

Predictors of epicardial adipose tissue in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

BACKGROUND Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), visceral fat depot of the heart, was found to be associated with coronary artery disease in cardiac and non-cardiac patients. Platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) were introduced as potential markers to determine inflammation in various disorders. Recently, atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) was found to be closel...

Secretory products from epicardial adipose tissue of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus induce cardiomyocyte dysfunction.

BACKGROUND Secreted factors from epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) have been implicated in the development of cardiomyocyte dysfunction. This study aimed to assess whether alterations in the secretory profile of EAT in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) affect contractile function and insulin action in cardiomyocytes. METHODS AND RESULTS Contractile function and insulin action were an...

Association Between 25-Hydroxyvitamin D and Epicardial Adipose Tissue in Chinese Non-Obese Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

BACKGROUND Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is recognized as a useful indicator for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity. However, studies on the association between vitamin D status and EAT thickness in type 2 diabetes (T2D) are limited. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the association of vitamin D (Calcifediol) status and EAT thickness (EATT) in Chinese non-obese patients with T2D. M...

Association between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and serum lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by defect in insulin secretion and action resulting in hyperglycemia. Diabetic patients have deranged body metabolisms particularly for lipids which may result in abnormal levels of serum levels of lipids. Methods: The aim of this study is to find any possible correlation between the the glycosylated hemoglobin and the...
